GF-ELTI at the forefront of the "Together we clean our territory" Day

GF-ELTI, together with the Department of Environment and Ecology of the Municipality of Sovere, Legambiente and other voluntary associations, as per tradition, took part, Saturday 9th April 2022, with a team of its collaborators to the ecological day "Together we clean our territory".

With the aim of protecting the environment, thirteen years ago GF-ELTI launched the initiative for the first time, involving a group of employees in the collection of abandoned waste in the areas surrounding the company. For years now this event has also been promoted by the Municipality of Sovere and, in collaboration with the local associations, it has given rise to a day dedicated to the territory.

Once again this year, a large group of GF-ELTI staff cleaned the areas adjacent to the production sites, along the stretch of SR 42 as far as the junction for Solto Collina.
The remaining areas of the city of Sovere were instead cleaned by the volunteers of the Municipality, the Alpini and the Associations, for a total of 150 people and 880 kg of waste collected.

The collection of last year had produced about 540 kg of waste, while those of previous years had been estimated between 1000 and 2000 kg. The increase for 2022 makes us reflect and shows how citizens still need to be made aware of the issue of ecology.

A tradition that continues and is renewed between Company, Municipality and social partners and that we hope can be an example and inspiration in identifying an educational model aimed at stimulating the population of our territory to adopt more civilized behaviours.
