GF-ELTI Reheating and Drying stations for Ladles are plants used in steelworks and strictly connected to ladles.
Ladles are containers intended to collect and transport melted metal tapped from electric and blast furnaces.
Reheating and Drying stations are used to dry and pre-heat the ladles at temperatures suitable for the process (~ 1,050 ÷ 1,150 °C) before their use. Equipped with a combustion and an automation systems, these machines can carry out reheating cycles programmed in compliance with pre-set time-temperature curves.
The ladles with a new or repaired refractory lining must be necessarily dried for the first time vertically so that bricks, cements and refractory binders can dry and bind without any collapse of the refractory lining.
The ladles that have already started the production cycle can be reheated both vertically and horizontally.
