GF-ELTI Energy Recovery from Chimneys Systems are plants specifically developed to recover the heat energy in the flue gases discharged through the stacks of the plants.
As a matter of fact, when they have a considerable temperature, flue gases represent an alternative energy source and they can partially release their residual heat for use in the industrial process or for other factory utilities.
The heat recovery from the flue gases of industrial stacks requires the application of specific heat exchangers (either finned or tube bundle), through which flue gases can release the residual energy to a carrier fluid (gas, air or water) without coming into contact with it. Then, the recovered energy can be used for pre-heating combustion air, remote-heating and electric energy production.
The plant dimensioned according to the flow rate and temperature of flue gases is equipped with the thermal and electric equipment necessary for the purpose.
